Wedding Postponed

Dear friends and family,

Due to unexpected costs related to moving, we have made the thoughtful decision to postpone our wedding celebrations to the 3rd April 2027, marking 4 years since we met.

We are immensely grateful for your love, understanding, and continued support.

We'll see you in April 2027 for the furriest wedding yet! (We hope to see you there!)

You can still enter the website to read our story and view the original details and updates, and we shall update the page with the updated venue as soon as we have information to share!

Dress code: We ask for formal attire, but please note the ceremony is being conducted in fursuit. For our furry friends, feel free to bring yours along! Our color theme is purple; while we'd love to see it, we prioritize your comfort over you sticking strictly to a theme.

We are currently in the process of trying to find a date that works for both Michael's family & Dark's family -- it is proposed currently to likely be the evening in of the 14th or 21st of September April 2027, please leave your email and we will email with further details once we have dates sorted!

For those that cannot make it to the Sunderland event, we want to do a small party in Somerset on the evening of the legal ceremony

A few notes:

1. Our journey to this day has been shaped by seasons of profound change. In a period of deep personal loss, our initial desire to wed quickly (although engaged since 2023) was born from a wish to cherish those we love most.


However, time and reflection have allowed us to realize that a celebration of this magnitude deserves a foundation of peace rather than haste. We are grateful for the delay, as it ensures our union begins in a season of healing and intentional joy.


2. In the spirit of love and authenticity, our ceremony will be conducted using gender-neutral language. We kindly ask our friends and family to refer to Darkmane by their legal name only. Your support in honoring this journey means the world to us as we become partners for life.


3. Maybe I overengineered our own wedding site.. but -- in doing so I have made a site that provides the live guest count - and feeds the form data back to ourselves via discord. It actually makes it a lot easier for us - knowing Michael, if I had it in some random database somewhere, he'd never check it!

  • First We Meet

    March 30, 2023

    Our story is actually a very weird one, at the time Darkmane was running a discord server called Protogen Beepposting - a discord server focused around protogens and making silly jokes about the species - Protogens are a species within the furry fandom that are basicially half robot, half organic, basically think of a wolf with a robotic visor and you have the general ideas, however, when we met I had just set up this server and was looking for admins, Michael was one of the people who applied, and after accepting him, we got to talking and hit things off.

  • We get together

    April 3, 2023 We remember this date well; it’s a recurring number in our family records.

    You know what, here I'd like to put some messages from the day we got together, as I find this incredibly ironic.

    Darkmane: Sounds good to me. I'd love to meet this year, but I doubt that being possible right now.

    Michael: Probably not. You live down south, I live up north.

    Darkmane: Hm, planes and trains are a thing. It might mean I need a hotel, but we could make it work, I'd say.

  • We meet for the first time in person

    April 23, 2023 The ironic twist

    See I told you it was ironic? After a 12 hour coach ride and taking a risk that I might end up murdered or worse (I'm joking!) - I headed up to Sunderland to meet Michael, all the way from Taunton - we had obviously exchanged photos and talked multiple times on call by this point!

    Though, I want to point out how I captioned this on Facebook the day we met. "Oh my god guys, I met Ed Sheeran at McDonald’s!"
